Late night baking with my eldest.
Yes, under the guidance of my wife.
Realised my eldest has grown up.
N she opens up to me less and less.
But I am determined to do what interests her so we have common topic to talk about.
I don’t bake.
But I chose to learn.
So I can connect with my kids.
Why am I sharing this with you?
Many parents told me her children don’t share much with them.
Many actually shut off.
Not wanting to share much.
Beside school work.
Nothing else.
Why not do something with them?
Talking is only one of the many ways our kids communicate with us.
You can bake with your kids,
Or
Exercise with your kids,
Or
Cook with your kids.
You won’t know until you try.
If this doesn’t work, try something else.
Continue to do it.
Parenting is never a smooth line.
Try again. Try until it works out.
Why?
Simply because we love our kids💕
