If math is not working for you and yet your child needs to do well in school, try using non-math activity to engage your child.
We use cooking to teach my P2 daughter heat, measurements and addition.
(That night she copied the entire recipes and wanted to learn baking.)
We use growing of plants to teach my P4 eldest about speed, rate and photosynthesis.
(That day she attempted to measure the height of the plant and record it in her journal.)
We use art to teach my girls about color blend/ mixing, volume and improving their sensing of space and work area.
(That morning my eldest sat still for more than 2 hours to have her art completed.)
Math is more than just tests and exams.
It’s all around you and your child.
