Description
When familiar practice no longer stretches your child
Your child can handle many routine questions, but an unfamiliar problem sum still makes them pause. The next step is purposeful practice: looking closely at what makes a question different and choosing an approach they can explain.
A focused challenge for P6 problem sums
- Selected problem-sum types: provide further practice beyond the earlier A-Star Kit.
- A focus on AL1 preparation: helps families looking for more demanding practice assess whether the book fits their child.
- A book to revisit: lets you return to a difficult type rather than rush on after a single attempt.
Use it together, one step at a time
Let your child attempt a selected question first. Discuss where they got stuck and use the book as a reference for the next attempt. Check the examples before buying so the challenge suits their current readiness.
Why You Should Get This Book If Your Child Is Aiming For AL 1 Or Want to Maintain AL 1?

In AL1 Mastery, we have selected problem-sum types for children who are ready for more challenging P6 practice. Use them to identify gaps, discuss approaches and build understanding.
