Terms & Conditions 

Welcome to our website. If you continue to browse and use this website, you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy govern Learning Out of the Box Education Centre Pte Ltd’s relationship with you in relation to this website. If you disagree with any part of these terms and conditions, please do not use our website.

Interpretations
1.1. “Coach” refers to the teacher(s) engaged by LOB.
1.2. “Course materials” refer to any books, worksheets, documents or materials which are published, distributed, and provided in any manner by LOB.
1.3. “Course methodology” refers to the method(s) of working, techniques, system, formula, process, means, medium, approach, strategy and/or tactics taught by LOB.
1.4. “We/us/our” refer to Learning Out Of The Box Education Centre Pte Ltd, and includes its Coaches and Employees.
1.5. “Student” is defined as the person who will be attending the lessons, and refers to “Child” or “Ward”.
1.6. “Parent” is defined as the mother, father or guardian of the Student.
1.7. “Program” refers to the classes or courses taught by LOB.
1.8. “You” refers to the Student and/or Parent(s), where appropriate.
Words importing any gender throughout this Agreement shall include all genders and words importing the singular shall include the plural and vice versa.

Payment terms

2.1. All Course Fees must be paid promptly before the Course commences and are non-refundable.
2.2. All Course Materials are non-exchangeable and all fees paid for Course Materials are non-refundable under any circumstances.
2.3. All fees, amounts payable, promotions or discounts are determined at our sole discretion.
2.4. We reserve the right to adjust the Course Fees by giving at least one month’s notice in advance.
2.5. You agree to pay Material Fees are in addition to Course Fees, and accept that they are non-refundable under any circumstances.

Course Materials & Methodologies

3.1. You acknowledge that all Course Materials and Course Methodologies are the intellectual property of LOB, and any infringement thereof is subject to criminal and/or civil liability.
3.2. You acknowledge that the Course Methodologies are unique and proprietary to LOB.
3.3. You acknowledge that you do not acquire any rights in respect of LOB’s Course Materials and Course Methodologies, and do not acquire any rights by virtue of your possession thereof. All copyright and other intellectual property remain vested in LOB.
3.4. You acknowledge and agree that you are not permitted to:
3.4.1. Make copies, take photographs of, misappropriate, sell, or distribute in any manner any Course Materials which are sold, distributed or provided by us under any circumstances;
3.4.2. Use our Course Materials in any way which might prejudice the intellectual property rights or goodwill of LOB;
3.4.3. Divulge, inform, notify, advise, apprise, brief or to communicate verbally, in writing, or in any manner to any person, other than to your own child, the Course Methodologies which are taught by LOB; and
3.4.4. Take photographs, audio or video recordings during our workshops, courses, lessons or parents’ debrief sessions.
3.5. You agree to promptly notify LOB if you become aware of any actual, threatened or suspected infringement of this Clause 5.
3.6. You agree that any breach of this clause entitles us to immediately terminate this Agreement with no refund of any fees paid whatsoever.

Personal data:

4.1. You agree to the following collection of data by us (“Personal Data”):
4.1.1. The Parent and Student’s name, NRIC, address, school, telephone number(s) and email address(es);
4.1.2. The Student’s relevant academic results as and when requested.

4.2. The purposes for which we collect, use, disclose and process you or your child’s Personal Data include, but are not limited to:
4.2.1. Contacting you when necessary about the classes, payment, timetable, renewal, information about the upcoming term’s classes, events and/or workshops;
4.2.2. Provide updates on your child’s performances in our classes;
4.2.3. Provide feedback, tips, advice and consultation to you on how you can help your child’s academic performance;

4.2.4. Improving our customer service;
4.2.5. Conducting research, surveys and interviews about our services;
4.2.6. Improving our services, eg. responding to enquiries, requests, and resolving complaints;
4.2.7. Internal newsletters, notices and marketing of our classes, events and/or workshops; and
4.2.8. Complying with applicable laws, regulations and rules.

5.1. You consent to our collection and use of the Personal Data and to engage in any process or procedure considered reasonable as part of our business relationship with you and/or to provide the necessary services required or requested by you.
5.1. You further consent to the following collection of information by us (“the Optional Data”) for marketing purposes:
5.1.1. Testimonials provided by you; and
5.1.2. Photographs of the Student(s).

6.1. You acknowledge that you may opt out of our collection, storage and/or use of the Optional Data at any point in time by informing us.
6.2. From time to time, you may receive information about our products and services through various means including but not limited to inter alia, electronic mail, text message, telephone call, and social media. You may opt out at any time by informing us.
6.3. You are also deemed to have given your consent for the collection, usage and disclosure of personal data in any circumstance where consent is deemed under the PDPA.

7.1. The content of the pages of this website is for your general information and use only. It is subject to change without notice.
7.2. Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on this website for any particular purpose.
